About this artwork
I conceived “Shooting Stars” as a figurative scene centered on fleeting celestial light and the wishes attached to rare, luminous moments, animated by a palette of red, green, and blue. Using oil stick on linen, I preserve the directness of the gesture and the physical character of every mark. The vertical format reinforces an upward cadence and gives the composition a strong sense of presence. I arranged expressive silhouettes, gestures, and atmospheric details so the image can reveal a different relationship each time it is viewed.
